Rethinking what “National Security” Means.
Watch this video by Marianne Williamson. She is spot on with respect to the overused term “national security,” and what it means. We have enabled the propaganda machine to instill irrational fear into people, to believe we need “increased military spending” to “protect national security.” When, in reality, the opposite could not be truer today. How can we invest in our children, in education, and the real needs of our people when we continue to invest in violence?
